Hydrowood lands at seven Gubbins Mitre 10 stores across NSW
Reclaimed Tasmanian timber is now on the shelf across seven Gubbins Mitre 10 stores in New South Wales. Hydrowood has partnered with the group to bring unique products like Myrtle flooring and lining and Celery Top Pine battens within reach of architects, builders and joiners across the Southern Highlands and South Coast, backed by a dedicated contact on the ground.
What it means for architects and builders
Specifying Hydrowood used to mean ordering interstate and building freight time into the schedule. With stock now held locally through Gubbins Mitre 10, that changes. Architects, builders and joiners can now see our Myrtle flooring and lining range and Celery Top Pine battens in person, speak with product specialists on the spot, and get trade support locally.
Why specify reclaimed Tasmanian timber
Every piece of Hydrowood timber comes from forests submerged when hydro-electric dams were built on Tasmania's west coast: recovered, not harvested, and given a second life in buildings and interiors around the country. It's independently certified through PEFC and Responsible Wood chain-of-custody systems, so specifying it comes with the paperwork to back up the provenance, alongside the colour, character and grain that comes from Tasmanian specialty timbers.
